Terms & Conditions (Ballet Classes & Recitals)

Tiny Tutus Terms & Conditions

(Classes & Recitals)

A friendly guide to how we look after each other in our Tiny Tutus community.

At Tiny Tutus, we work in partnership with our families. These Terms & Conditions simply outline how everything works so your little dancer can enjoy a magical, consistent and safe experience with us.

Overview

Tiny Tutus classes run once a week during the year and your enrolment continues automatically until you let us know you’d like to finish. Class fees are billed in 10-week blocks and charged by scheduled card payment before each block begins (payments calendar available on the website). Families joining mid-block are pro-rated for the remaining lessons of the billing block. If you need to miss a class, you can log an absence in your Parent Portal and a makeup credit will be added to your account to use within the following two months. All Tiny Tutus dancers are part of our recital program, which is a special and much-loved highlight of the year. Recital details will be available closer to the date of each event.

About Your Enrolment

Trial Lessons

Trial lessons at Tiny Tutus are obligation-free and a lovely way for your little dancer to experience class. When you book a trial lesson, a $25 first lesson fee will appear in your Parent Portal. This amount is only charged if you choose to enrol, and is then counted as your child’s first lesson. If you decide that Tiny Tutus isn’t the right fit for your family, simply let us know and we’ll close your account and no payment will be taken. We understand that plans can change, and we’re always happy to reschedule trial lessons. Reach out to Tiny Tutus Head Office team at hello@tinytutus.com.au or call 1300 245 060 to reschedule your trial lesson

Registration Fee

Your annual Registration Fee supports your dancer’s insurance, licensing and the administrative costs of being part of our program. It covers your ballerina for the entire calendar year and doesn’t need to be paid again if you leave and return within the same year. Because these are fixed costs, the Registration Fee is non-refundable. Students enrolling after October may have their Registration Fee extended to cover the following calendar year (this will be advised at the time of your enrolment).

Join Any Time

You are welcome to join Tiny Tutus at any time! If you join in the middle of a block, you will be pro-rated for the remaining lessons of the block and will join the direct debit schedule for the remaining blocks of the year.

Class Fees

Class fees are billed in 10-week blocks. Each block is charged by schedule card payment before each block begins, as outlined on the payment calendar (including dates) on our website. We will send reminders (via SMS, Tiny Tutus App and/or email connected to your account) before a scheduled card payment is due. Please make sure your contact details are correct in your parent portal and that there are enough funds on your nominated account to include merchant and/or transaction fees (see fee breakdown below). Attendance in class isn’t permitted while the account is in arrears

Recitals

Our Winter Recital and End of Year Recital are a beautiful highlight for families. All details and inclusions will be communicated via email and made available on our website closer to the event date. Please note recital dates and locations may change if a venue adjusts availability; we’ll always communicate with as much notice as possible.

Winter Recital 2026: $60

End of Year Recital 2026: $160

Annual Rollover

Your child’s enrolment continues from year to year, which keeps your spot safe. If your dancer will not be returning the following year please let us know in writing by 1 November so we can update your membership.

Parent & Sibling Etiquette

We love having families in the classroom. To keep our space focused, safe and nurturing for all dancers, we ask all grown-ups and siblings to follow our Class Guest Etiquette guidelines. If someone’s behaviour makes it difficult for others to enjoy their class, we will chat with you about next steps.

Your $0 Class Tutu

We are so excited to be able to offer all enrolled families the opportunity to add their class tutu to their cart for $0 on our online store. Families will receive a discount code at the time of enrolment (or in early January for VIP students continuing their enrolment from the previous year). This process allows you to select the correct size (sizing guide available in the product listing) and preferred delivery address, helping ensure the perfect fit and a smooth, seamless experience. If you require assistance with any queries, our Boutique team are happy to help; boutique@tinytutus.com.au

Please note, it is the class tutu item only that is complimentary. Standard shipping rates apply. This is a limited time offer, please see your welcome email for details.

We understand that sometimes items don’t fit quite as expected. We’ve provided sizing guides and measurements to help you find the perfect fit the first time. Your $0 Class Tutu uniform may be eligible for exchange provided they meet our exchange conditions. Any return or exchange postage costs are covered by the family. Please refer to our Boutique (Online Store) T&Cs for full exchange and return conditions.

You can mark an upcoming absence anytime in your Parent Portal. Where makeup lessons apply, a makeup credit will be automatically be added to your account. For extended absences, please contact our office and we’ll guide you through your options.

Makeup Lessons

Makeups may be offered for approved absences, class cancellations, public holidays or other approved reasons. Makeup credits expire after 2 months and can be booked through the portal.

Enrolment or Class Cancellation

Cancelling Your Enrolment

We understand family schedules change. Your enrolment continues automatically until you tell us you’re ready to finish. Please email hello@tinytutus.com.au at least 4 weeks before the next direct debit date (we can’t accept cancellations via your class teacher, phone or social media, as we need written email confirmation). You’re welcome to attend until the end of the already-paid block. Tiny Tutus may suspend/terminate enrolment for material breaches, non-payment, safety reasons or unlawful conduct (while preserving ACL rights).

Recital Cancellations

All enrolled students are automatically included in Recitals so they can be part of the magic.
If extenuating circumstances prevent your child from participating in the recital, please get in touch with us at least 4 weeks before recital fees are debited. Once recital payments have been processed, fees are non-refundable as costumes and performance arrangements have already been secured.

If you need to cancel after the debit:

  • Winter Recital: 50% of the fee is credited as a boutique voucher.
  • End of Year Recital: A recital costume will be posted to you late November/ early December (postage fees apply)

Class Cancellations

Very occasionally, something unexpected may require us to cancel a class. We’ll always notify families as soon as possible via the Tiny Tutus app notification, email and SMS. A makeup credit will be placed on your account. Public holidays automatically receive a makeup credit.

Credits or refunds are not provided when a family chooses not to use the available make-up class options, including when a family elects not to return for the remainder of the year while equivalent make-up classes are available.

Class Changes

Sometimes class schedules change due to enrolments, venues or teacher availability. Changes may include a shift in venue, time or teacher. Notification will be provided as soon as information becomes available, with email used for advance notice of future changes and SMS used for urgent or same-day updates. If a class is permanently cancelled during your dancer’s first block and there are no positions available to transfer to another venue, 50% of the Registration Fee will be refunded.

Upfront Payment Cancellation

You can cancel your membership at any time. If you cancel within the calendar year, your Upfront Payment Benefit is removed from your account, and the attended services will be charged in full. The remaining funds on your account will be refunded (less an admin fee of $20). Cancellation mid-term is subject to normal cancellation policies. Recital refunds are subject to Recital T&Cs and Installment Payment Dates. You can enrol again at any time. The Upfront Payment Benefit is only available to Tiny Tutus VIP members until 3/2/26.

Media & Privacy

We love celebrating our dancers and occasionally take photos or short videos in class or at events.
These may be used for lawful marketing such as our website, social media, teacher training, or printed materials. You are always welcome to take photos of your own child, however sharing images of other dancers is not permitted. If you prefer not to have your child included in Tiny Tutus photos or videos, please let our team know and we’ll do our very best to support your request.

Behaviour, Safety & Wellbeing

Supporting a Positive Community

Tiny Tutus is a warm, respectful space for all families. If behaviour from any adult or child creates an unsafe or distressing environment, we may need to chat about next steps, including the possibility of ending an enrolment.

This includes situations such as:

  • Repeated breaches of these Terms
  • Abusive or aggressive behaviour toward staff or other families
  • Ongoing non-payment or bank disputes
  • Providing false information
  • Bullying or harassment of any dancer, teacher or family

Zero Tolerance for Abuse

Our staff deserve to feel safe at work. Any violent, abusive or aggressive behaviour (in person, by phone, email or online) will result in immediate termination of enrolment with all fees forfeited.

Consent & Liability

We take the greatest care in our classes, though all physical activity carries some risk.
Please ensure medical details are correct and up to date in your parent portal for relevant allergies, injuries or medical conditions that may affect you or your child’s participation.

Parents and carers must remain onsite during class. Tiny Tutus is not liable for injury, loss or damage unless caused by our own negligence. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law remain protected.

Tiny Tutus Child Safe Statement

Tiny Tutus is committed to providing a safe, nurturing and positive environment for every child. We believe all children have the right to feel protected, respected and supported while they learn and grow through dance.

In all regular Tiny Tutus classes, parents and carers are expected to be present in the room at all times, and supervision remains their responsibility. Our teachers guide and facilitate the class, but they do not assume parental duty of care during weekly lessons.

At events where parents cannot remain with their child, such as recitals, Tiny Tutus upholds strict child-safe procedures, including group supervision, authorised check-in and check-out processes, and visible, monitored backstage areas.

All Tiny Tutus team members follow our Child Safe Policy and Code of Conduct, complete required child-safety checks, and are trained to identify and respond to concerns. We do not tolerate any behaviour that places a child at risk.

We welcome all children and families and are committed to maintaining an inclusive, respectful and supportive environment. We encourage children and parents to speak up about anything that feels unsafe or uncomfortable, and we take all concerns seriously.

Together with our families, we are dedicated to making Tiny Tutus a place where every child can shine safely.

 Revisions

We occasionally update our Terms & Conditions to best support our families and programs.
Any updates will be shared on our website and in your Parent Portal.
