Miss Christy

Sydney cover

I started ballet as young as our own ballerinas, grew up dancing until I completed my Advanced 2 exam. I've always loved how graceful ballet felt and looked. So happy to see our ballerinas feel the same way as they sway their arms and run on their tippy toes, and love their excitement when they accomplish something new!

Miss Jessica

Through the years, I honed my skills in various dance styles, from contemporary to jazz, each one adding a new dimension to my love for movement. I love teaching Tiny Tutu Ballerinas as I can share my passion for dance with them and watch them grow and fall in love with it too. It's a privilege to be a part of their formative years and to witness the transformation that dance can bring into their lives. I look forward to continuing this wonderful journey of teaching and inspiring the next generation of dancers, nurturing their passion for dance, and helping them discover the magic it can bring into their lives.

Since then, my answer to “what do you want to be when you grow up?” was always to be a dance teacher. It has been a dream of mine to inspire dancers to share the same passion I have for dance whilst teaching them all I’ve learnt from the very best dance teachers. I have been teaching dance for 2 years to all ages from toddlers to adults. My proudest dance achievement so far is competing nationally as a soloist at one of Australia’s most prestigious dance competitions. The best thing about being a Tiny Tutus teacher is the family environment, every time I interact with a ballerina I feel like a big sister.

I’m so lucky to be able to share my passion with these girls and have an influence on their lives. I’m always so proud of what my ballerinas learn and achieve each week. Watching them develop such a strong love for dance at a young age is so incredibly rewarding.

ACT

Miss Chelsea

Kingston & Gungahlin, ACT

"I started ballet when I was three years old, and later went on to learn jazz, contemporary, musical theatre and tap. Dancing is one of my greatest joys in life, so I sought out every opportunity to dance, whether representing my dance studio by competing as a soloist or as part of a troupe at dance eisteddfods, or participating in local and interstate school run performances.

I began student teaching with my dance studio at the age of seventeen, however after moving interstate and embarking on the course of a university degree, I felt as though I was losing touch with the dance world. So, I searched for work that would allow me to reconnect with my passion for dance. That is how I found Tiny Tutus, and I have never looked back.

What I adore most about Tiny Tutus is forming relationships with my ballerinas and their families, and watching my ballerinas grow in their confidence and love for dance through their classes and recital. I am so passionate about dance and performance, as I believe it is one of the greatest gifts in life. I just love being able to share this gift with my ballerinas each and every week!"

Miss Piper

Hackett

I was trained in the Vaganova and Cecetti methods in Darwin from age 5-18. During this time, I was also very involved in my local ballet school teaching preschool children, as well as volunteering with a community dance theatre which staged productions in the Darwin festival. Over time my real passion has transferred to teaching dance as opposed to performing it. I find teaching young children to be especially rewarding as everyone leaves the class having experienced the wonder and magic of ballet. My goal is always to make the dance room not something to be feared, but a special weekly ritual which ballerinas can feel supported and creative in. When not teaching ballet, I find myself to be boogying around any hallway or kitchen I can locate. Which is something I can only credit to my beautiful dance teachers who taught me the value and joy of movement.
